From the writers of 2017's "The Dark Tower" and "The Mummy"...

More bad news:

The big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower is opening now to scathing reviews. People say its short 90 min. running time is too stuffed with teasers to build a multi-movie universe than telling a good self-contained story within its own time constraints. So who’s the main writer responsible for that one? Akiva Goldsman.

Every time we see the phrase “failed attempt at a cinematic franchise” attached to a movie, the names “Akiva Goldsman” (Batman & Robin, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, The Dark Tower, etc.) and “Alex Kurtzman” (Star Trek into Darkness, The “Amazing” Spider-Man 2, The Mummy with Tom Cruise, etc.) are usually the ones overseeing the project.

And guess which guys stepped up to get Star Trek Discovery “back on track” after Bryan Fuller quit?

Very telling sign, IMO.

Yeah, those guys must have some Teflon connections.
