Shight Carpenter.

He was a Carpenter for 40 years, married and had no kids, and lived in the sad little council flat with no savings?

Jeez my mates a Carpenter and owns a 4 bedroom house, mortgage free.

So he was either a terrible carpenter, or a lazy git. I never saw any addictions so he didn't drink or gamble his wages away.

He should have been an unskilled factory worker, and the girl should have been less hot, she was a yummy mummy, Oh and also he was signed off by his doctor, which is pretty much a get out of jail card in he benefits world, if his doctor said is wasn't fit for work then the doctor would write him a sick note, which they will continue to do until they feel you are fit to return to a more active roll.

I have 2 examples, a girl friend of mine with 2 kids, lives in a lovely warm 2 bedroom flat, has the latest phones and sky HD and fibre broadband, and she always eats well.

old school friend, lives in a 4 bedroom council house, drives a 2 year old car, his 5 kids have all the latest gadgets, from xbox's to hover boards, he hasn't worked for 15 years, reason, he suffers from depressions, he gets all that because he feels sad sometimes, and last year, he got all new windows, a front porch extension? and new kitchen an bathroom, all from the council all for fee..

The people from this film either they're idiots or just didn't play the game and fill in the right forms.

Yep, have to agree:

Skilled & experienced carpenter who has supposedly worked all his life - frugal lifestyle with very few outgoings (doesn't even smoke or drive an old banger) and not a bean tucked away for a rainy day?

Not the most believable scenario for this particular story.

His wife's medical expenses wiped him out.

LOL, one sentence just wiped out the OP and his ramblings.

Do people actually pay attention when watching movies? I think too many idiots nowadays are half on their phone and half on the screen.

reply

It wasn't her medical expenses because I assume she was treated by the NHS however the film suggests he had to give up work to look after her.

The newest generation seems self absorbed with the need for constant reinforcement.
And unless it's about them they don't care.
