Why Debbie wanted to deposit her money and seemingly could not.

I have no idea why Debbie tried to deposit her money?
While She was talking over the phone in a compartment, Constance entered in to borrow Metoro-Card. Debbie struggled to talk to somebody apparently bank clerk or so.

Who's bank account she tended to use? her own? But for what?

When her skeevy ex was being interviewed by the police at the end, they asked him about large sums deposited into his business account. She was trying to get his account information during that call so she could frame him.
