She played family with him

If we judge by the last episode, plus the hair they found in White's room in the first episode, it can be assumed that Ivy played "family" with him all 13 years (or rather 10 years since her 16th birthday).
My only question is why did they not check her for rape/possible birth giving? It is clear that she had a baby and then lost it or something. Plus she told the Social services lady that he gave her fish just "as long as it was necessary".
All this has not been discussed at all. Or was it left for us to figure out? Thoughts?

it was a family liaison officer not a social worker and whatever she says is confidential unless it is a risk to others or her

I was surprised not one mention was mad of Stockholm syndrome ....surly that would be at the forefront of everyone's minds????

It was mentioned early on I think in the first episode by the female detective. I can't remember for sure by whom or exactly when, but it was mentioned.

Yes, DI Carne mentioned Stockholm Syndrome near the end of episode one, and then behaved for the rest of the series as though she'd never heard of it, and assumed collusion throughout.

I thought they were clearly insinuating that she had a miscarriage. Near the end he made comments about trying again and that it would work this time.
