Please correct me if I'm totally wrong, but wasn't it completely out of the blue that that dude walked up to the terrible female detective with the footage of Ivy at the mall? I'm sorry, they just checked every camera of every public place for 24 hours a day for 13 years and just happened to find that within like half a day? Yah sure that's believable.
Another thing, when Phoebe goes missing, why do they just KNOW that it's the same guy that took her? Do they even give a reason?
I LOVE these types of abduction/missing persons shows but this one has the dumbest characters and most random plot points with no explanation. Without Jodie Comer I would've turned this off after the first episode.
Do yourselves a favor and watch The Missing if you haven't already :)

They know White took Phoebe because witnesses had seen White in the area (after his image was publicized).
But as for how quickly they found the footage, I'll chalk it up to suspension of disbelief. Fair dues really. No point dragging it out if it's needed for the plot is there? Otherwise it would be real life, which

It could have been that way back then someone noticed it and reported it, and it had been forgotten about.
