Did anyone else have a problem with the ending?

1) MARK gets his license and, 2 minutes later, GLEN admits that the reason why 92% of his students passed is because he wasn't working seriously. Doesn't that mean that MARK doesn't really deserve the license? Well, I was already thinking that before that scene. He helped GLEN, but does that mean he's a good driver?

2) ASHLEY tells MARK that she didn't care about whether he drives or not and that she likes him. It's supposed to be a funny irony, but I was too busy getting angry at the writers! She's one of the worst written characters I've seen in a while! And this scene proved it! She's so annoyingly and unrealistically perfect! We never even see why she likes him, despite him being so awkward.

3) Why did they invite a clown to a pool party for high schoolers?

Just saw this flick, and was suprised by the ending also. Not that a guy like Mark couldn't get a girl, but in a movie like this usually he would end up with a different girl, it was way too convinient of an ending. i expected Angela and him to end up together by the end, but i guess she liked Russell.

It was an okay flick but it had a bunch of plot holes

Whatever you do, Don't fall asleep

Actually, I was somewhat pleased by it... at least the aspect of the Ashley's love for Mark. It may not be entirely realistic, but as I stated on another post, it contradicts the cliché of the guy falling in love with the girl he's not looking for, as in movies such as "The Sure Thing," "Overnight Delivery," or "Sex Drive."
