Whoa you're so lucky!! I can't wait to read the TIFF reviews! What time exactly on Friday? Just so I know the right time to check internet for Headshot reviews.

reply

It is playing at midnight on Friday. Critic reviews probably won't be out until later next week as they are holding industry and press screenings. I will share my thoughts shortly after though!

Let us know what you think after you see it!

reply

Of course!

How is it even more violent than the Raid movies? We saw dudes get their faces blown away from a shotgun blast!

reply

A lot more gun violence in this film... More shootouts. Maybe it's about on par with The Raid 2

reply

The movie was pretty awesome!! To be honest I expected a little more martial arts action. It was very brutal and intense! I would say more violent than The Raid films. The cinematography and choreography was excellent as to be expected.
It will definitely gives you your fix before The Raid 3.

If you have any questions ask away!

Without spoiling is the final fight long and good? How does it compare to the kitchen fight in Raid 2?

How was the score?

reply

The end fight scene was decent. I wasn't blown away by it. I enjoyed the end fight scene in The Raid 2 more. Maybe because I went into it with high expectations. The choreography just wasn't as intricate or mind blowing.

reply

The score was amazing! It is very similar to the raid films.

reply

From what you have seen in this movie, does the future bode well for The Night Comes for Us?

reply

Definitely!I think Timo Tjahjanto and Kimo Stamboel did an excellent job! There should be no worries when it comes to the quality of films these two will direct in the future.

reply

you expected more martial arts you say. Did it not have enough per say or did it have enough but was expecting more?

reply

I don't think it had enough fight scenes. Lot's of gun shootouts which I am not a fan of. It had very short brutal moments within the fights. Was expecting more from the choreography too.

reply

ok thanks! Overall film? Not as good as The Raid movies? More or less brutality?

reply

I would give the film a 7.5/10. Pretty much nonstop action on the edge of your seat thrills. Personally I didn't enjoy it as much as both of The Raid films. I found it more brutal or equal to The Raid 2

thank you sir for answering!

Wow mate. U so lucky to see this flick so early.

How was the story/romance/drama? Was there any good twist? Better or worse than The Raid movies? I just thought Gareth Evans was not really a good writer... and Mo Brothers' Macabre and Killers had better stories/scripts... so I have expectation for this one's.
