Cute movie so far

I'm watching, and at first I had some trouble getting into it. Not because I lacked interest or the movie wasn't doing well but because I usually have a passive interest in the Lifetime/Hallmark holiday movies. I "like" them but don't usually "love" them. I enjoy them & watch them more than once, but they're not my favorites.

I may not "love" this movie, either, but so far I'm really enjoying it. It has the tame Lifetime formula but with a dash of whimsy & the slightest touch of ironic charm. The puppets are classic Henson of the Dark Crystal variety. The message is good and the main cast acts well.

I can see this being a re-watch next Thanksgiving. A little bit of magic is rare for Thanksgiving. We focus so much on Halloween, forget Thanksgiving, and move on to Christmas; this little movie is a light, fun offering.

Agreed!
I love Thanksgiving as much as the holidays it falls between and was surprised and happy to see this on Lifetime, let alone the fact anyone bothered to make a Thanksgiving movie to begin with.
Hallmark actually did some fall movies this year.
Maybe this is the start of a great new trend?!

I'm always amazed at how many people are in the middle of watching a film then take the time to stop it, log into IMDb and write a review/comment.
In the MIDDLE of a movie?!
Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until you've seen the whole film to tell us how you liked it? Wouldn't that be better than having people read how you like it "so far"? Lol
Also I personally would want to just sit and finish my movie.

Well you know, the cool thing about being free to do what the hell I want...is that I can (gasp) put my two cents into an internet forum about a movie...(gasp) in the middle of it!

If you'd like an updated "review" of the movie, I still liked it. It was contrived, a bit corny, and predictable. And it was enjoyable. It was cute.

Now, as for what you'd "personally" prefer to do, I don't know that I or anyone else really give a *beep*
