Is this a new trend in horror sequels? Does this mean next year we'll get a Wish Upon 2 that turns out to be a really good horror movie instead of the unintentional comedy of the first?

I enjoyed both Annabelle 2 and Ouija 2 a lot more
Ouija 1 was by far one of the worst ghost movies I've ever watched....
I enjoyed Annabelle 1 but 2 was so much better
