well, the british crown always had a mystique around it. "Wolf Hall" was a few years ago, and there was also "The Queen", both around the same time, that presented stories about the British monarchy although at different eras.

These things come in waves. I'm glad the vampire stories are done, for now. Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Underworld, etc... We are currently in the superhero era in film, which will last another 10 years or so. It is nice to have some British period pieces to cleanse the palate.
