Relation between Victoria and Melbourne

I have only now started episode 3 so i don't know how it's gonna play out in the long run, but as for now, their relationship and the affinities they share is probably one of the cutest and most touching chemistry i've seen in a series! Love how they tip-toe around the fact that they like each other more and more. The 3 first minutes of ep3 when they talk about marriage is very telling, so cute.

Who else agrees?? Rufus Sewell completely steals the show if you ask me.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.
The chemistry between Melbourne and Victoria
seems more authentic than between
Albert and Victoria.

I totally agree too and it made me love the show even more. Feels very much to me like a Jane Austen style romance, but we know how history ended up happening so they can't avoid it to stay more historically accurate. So nice too seeing Rufus play such a nice character as I'm used to him playing villains or bad ex-boyfriends so much in his other shows and movies. LOL And I just love Jenna Coleman too. I'm looking forward to reading Daisy Goodwin's novel that she adapted to make this show. I've heard there's more in it than what was in the first season.

I believe in real life he was about 40 years her senior. That is disturbing. I think this show took a lot of extra license to give us a wee bit more suspense. And of course Rufus doesn't look in his mid fifties, does he?
