I really enjoyed the movie. Even more so than Katrina's other Christmas movie "Snow Bride." Katrina was charming and looked cute in her red coat. The plot followed the standard Hallmark Christmas formula but isn't that why we watch these movies. The movie was lighthearted and fun and of course there was no doubt it would all get worked out and they would fall in love at the end.
shareIt was very obvious and just too sugary sweet in many places. It didn't have to be. For example, when Anna asked her Mum to keep some tomatoes for her, and the mum replied "I always do" with an over the top sweetness. Not necessary!
Would also have been nice if the brats... I mean kids... didn't all just get what they wanted all the time. That's not the right message.
Otherwise quite charming in places.
This movie is one of the above average Christmas flicks. Sure there are things to pick on, like Donna Mills eye makeup, etc, but all in all, the acting and storyline were a bit better than average. I thought the lead actor was a bit weak at first, but warmed up later.
Loved the acting interplay of the sisters - Katrina and Melanie.
