'Try to think of something good'

The last scene was utterly heartbreaking.
Listening to the directors say this to the girl to keep her from crying.
Here response... "I can't"

Devastating, can't imagine living the life of that girl, the word joyless
can't even describe it, I feel depressed right now.

That poor poor girl. I hope her family are smart enough to defect. She doesn't have a future (let alone a bright one) in North Korea after the documentary release.

This whole exercise was absurd and heartbreaking.

This part of the documentary made me tear up.

It was hard watching that last scene today (I watched the film in parts), knowing it wasn't just some scripted drama. Something that struck me before it even got to the point of her saying "I can't (think of something good)" was that her mother or whoever it was that they were telling to cheer her up had been completely quiet, presumably just watching the child cry. They must have felt the impulse to comfort her, but no doubt the fear of acting out of turn was greater.
