I knew, going into this, that it would be gay. I had no idea that it...

...would be this gay. Was this rated NC-17?

When is Franco just gonna come out already?

I like him and Christian Slater but this wasn't a very good movie. Granted, the subject matter isn't in my wheelhouse to begin with but I watched it on their names. They do what they can but it's not a good script.

I actually found the movie tame especially considering its subject matter. The film did show promise in most of the performances, but gave short shrift to its main character (who failed to show any emotion even in the scenes with his mother). The rest of the movie seemed plagued with unlikable characters, which doesn't necessarily make it bad, but it does it make it harder for general audiences to get behind.

The film was released unrated, but would probably have been rated R, for language and subject matter. There was nothing NC-17 in this film, only the suggestion of sex, not anything shown, including what must have been a VERY gruesome murder. I was surprised at how good this movie was. To each his own.
