Brent Corrigan Thinks James Franco’s “King Cobra” Demonstrates “Contempt” For Queer Culture

In case you missed it the first time, Brent Corrigan has reiterated that he doesn’t at all approve of James Franco‘s King Cobra.

Based on Corrigan’s porn career and deeply bizarre relationship with Cobra Video founder Bryan Kocis, the film received its first official US trailer last week and is finally coming to theaters on October 21.

In response to a Twitter fan asking about the veracity of the film, Corrigan said, “No true telling about it. Not approved by me. It tells a story with contempt for queer culture & mockery for porn.”

He also claims the film makes a “mockery” of the gay adult film industry.

Starring James Franco, Christian Slater, Garrett Clayton, Alicia Silverstone, and Molly Ringwald, the highly anticipated movie chronicles Corrigan’s rise in the gay porn industry and Kocis’ murder at the hands of two rival producers.

According to the investigating coroner, Kocis was stabbed 28 times and his throat was cut, nearly decapitating him. His body was left in his house before it was set on fire. Officials had to use dental records to identify Kocis because his body was burned beyond recognition.

Kocis’ involvement and subsequent legal battle with a then-underage Brent Corrigan, aka Sean Lockhart, added an unhealthy dose of scandal to the already-nutso story.

Sean Lockhart "Brent Corrigan" has a God damn nerve complaining about
the accuracy of the film. after all Kocis is dead because Corrigan
had agreed to work with Caudra and Keredes while he was still legally
bound to Cobra Video. so Caudra and Keredes found the perfect way to
get Kocis out of the picture. again Lockhart has his God damn nerve
complaining about the accuracy of the film.

You cannot blame Brent Corrigan for the death of Kocis. I think Sean Paul Lockhart has got a damn point. James Franco is MAKING MONEY off of someone's death! Brent Corrigan was basically prostituted by Bryan Kocis and that man is a damn pedophile. The movie has TOO MANY comedic elements and it ignores the BUSINESS of the gay porn industry. This movie could of been better I feel with a stronger script.

This sounds like an interview with a person that hasn't actually seen the film. I didn't see anything "mocking" the gay porn industry. If Lockhart wanted a biopic of himself, he should make one. The film also doesn't have any contempt for gay culture, that is if Lockhart wants to claim the story told in the film as "gay culture." I see it as a murder, nothing to do with gay culture. The gay porn industry portrayed speaks for itself.
