Pure Genius!

One hell of a great film all around: Direction, camera acting (Church, Crowe). Very original and well made. See it if you get a chance.

Picked it up on a whim and wish I hadn't. There's really nothing to this movie. Twenty minute truth or dare, some random "creature" effects and some nudity.
But if you've seen the trailer you've literally seen everything. There's no story. No horror. Ends with everyone leaning into a muddy mound while naked.

Your review was brutal and unfair. One out of ten stars? What a sh*tty thing to do to small film. I fast forwarded because of reading your review, and now I wish I hadn't. There is some messed up sh*t in this movie. Not a horror? There's an orgy scene involving a giant eyeball monster with..uh..many varying sexual organs. I get that you didn't like it. Of what I saw I didn't like it either. But, one out of ten, that's just mean.

Small films shouldn't get a pass because they are low budget. Why should I give a small film some sort of handicap that big budget films don't get?

Say an indie director makes crappy films but I go easy on him because he's low budget. So I give him a few extra stars. But then he breaks into big budget filmmaking and the films are of the same low quality as his indie flicks. So I don't give him a handicap. That right there is dishonest. His big budget movies are just as bad as low budget ones. I should base my review on the quality of the review, not the budget.

Quite enjoyed this but didnt really understand it, well filmed good effects.

I agree with the other posters, this is not a horror movie. It's more a fantasy film with sci-fi undertones. The film itself is boring and the acting is clunky. Although the thing that really annoyed me was the numerous uses of slow motion scenes and characters randomly walking through the woods with nothing happening. The nudity and sexual situations is the only thing the film had going for it and I think the director should have gone all out and made this into a sci-fi erotica with the alien creatures manipulating the characters into having sex with each other.

There was apparently only 1 creature, but it DID manipulate the humans: gay men with straight women, straight men with gay men, Kat about to fellate some kind of plant?! The opening scene was the best. The film ran out of narrative ideas about halfway through. And I think being turned into a sex slave IS pretty horrible. Not for nothing, there is no evidence AT ALL that the creature was not of this earth. S/he struck me as a Druid Nature Spirit.
