Did they seriously redub the movie with celebrity voices?

I can't figure out if they used the same cutscenes from the game in the movie or if they used the movie cutscenes in the game. It looks exactly the same, but they have different voice actors. I guess there was more dialogue in the game, so that's why they had to redub it? I really can't enjoy the movie now, it's the exact same scenes from the game. Ugh! I shoulda watched movie first!
