When did they confirm his return? We know Adam and Leo won't, which we'll probably find out in the Final Lab Rats episode (leaving Bionics 1 person short with Supers). Douglas, Perry, and Eddy remain a mystery for now (no Leo probably means no Tasha either). Davenport though might be in charge of Chase, Bree, Oliver, Kaz and Skylar though.

IIRC, I believe with the finale, Adam and Leo are at the academy to explain their absence. The series ends with the splitting up of the team...with Chase and Bree off to the spin-off, and Adam and Leo help manning the Academy, which really means there stuck in limbo until it's decided they're needed...
