Random Kids / Normos

What's with the random kids? First we had Spin and Bob on Bionic Island, who didn't last very long. Next there were two or three random little brothers of different main characters who showed up once and weren't seen again. Now there's AJ, the kid who can hack into everything and knows all their secrets. At least he's now been on two episodes. Maybe he'll become a semi-regular.

Maybe one reason for this is that the show is feeling the lack of interfacing with the non-bionic, non-superhero world, something the earlier shows got more of when Leo, Kaz, and Oliver would go to school and venture beyond their usual elite environment. I mean, we see them all the time in their Elite Force tower headquarters, but how often do they come in contact with ordinary humans?

I think the reason the Elite Force members don't venture out much and come into contact with other people is because Roman and Riker are out there waiting to strike. The only times they have gone out was to see Clutch when there were a bunch of people around (not likely Roman and Riker would strike there) and the other time was to see Crossbow and that nearly got someone killed.
