Chase Loved pranks

I get that at the point in time of the episode he was working on something very important (considering how gung-ho Oliver was for vengeance at the start of this series he should have been less of a hindrance)it should not have been said that he was too serious for pranks. In Lab Rats and Lab Rats Bionic Island he enjoyed doing pranks. They could have had him been not partake without stating that he did not like them at all. Just as there was an Oliver is out of character thread. The writers should have some character consistency.
