Congratulations SyFy Channel!
You managed to come up with a mediocre horror flick. I'm impressed.

The makeup was very well done. Looks like the costume team had a blast doing their job.

Agreed.

Well I enjoyed it. A throwback to late 80's movies say.
shareNothing wrong with a little B movie (which this was) action on a Saturday night. What I give the SyFy Channel a hard time about it the endless stream of insults to humanity that they usually air on Saturday nights.

You have to admit, the SyFy Channel is very consistent in quality over time.
Are they still in love with the Hero shot? Where someone stands by themselves, looking serious as the wind gently blows their hair away from their face?
You can usually count on at least one of those scenes in every movie. No matter what the topic.

I've been wondering for a while now what gives all these SyFy movies the same sort of cheap-ish feel... It must be something in the camera work, cinematography or maybe the direction, rather than, say, the budget (since there are plenty of low budget movies that don't feel cheap), but I can't quite put my finger on it. It's also not the special effects, since I get the same sense from shots that don't involve any effects, nor is it the acting, which is highly variable.
shareI think it might be the sound. I can usually tell TV work by the sound and music. It might also be the editing. Way too many close-ups, in my opinion.
shareYep, the makeup was pretty impressive!
