Who wrote it into the plot the hot chick in class is in love with a geek?

This I found to be very silly about this movie. We have this guy who is below average looking.

He's boring, short and overrall - not a catch.

But written into the script is that the hot chick in his class wants him, chases him and tries to seduce him. Yeah right.

It would never happen. Ruined what could have been a good movie.

And he's done everything he can to prove that he's reluctant to get involved with her, but she still waits around for his candy ass. If I was that girl I would have given him the flick long ago.

He's not worth it. He's a geek.

That was so damn annoying - it was like dude just fucking kiss already. Then he refuses to go into her house of course, what a lame ass. It started to affect my sympathy and even the believability of the character.

you underestimate the power of charisma

He had none.

It was an interesting, if somewhat unlikely plot element, designed to introduce a further conflict for the character. He wanted Allison, but he was incredibly preoccupied by a horrible secret that made the relationship hard to pursue.

I don't see why people are so worried about a pretty standard movie trope. Did people walk out of American Pie going, "No way would an ultra-hot eastern European want to have sex with *that* guy!" No, they didn't, 'cause it's a movie.

It didn't ruin the whole movie for me but it was definitely unbelievable and the way she threw herself at him for absolutely no reason made it look pretty ridiculous. But the chemistry between the actors was not bad which saved it a bit.

Does he look like Teemothey Chalamooot?
