Utterly pointless

No new information whatsoever just the same old crap we heard about 5 years ago. I'm sure people will eat it up cause it's Louis Theroux, but it was a pretty big letdown.

I have to say, it's not what I was expecting either. It was definately and interesting take on it though.

I don't think this documentary was supposed to give new information, because it's all pretty much out there.

I think it was aimed at the people that as Louis mentioned (I'm paraphrasing here) for the majority of people, the most they know about Scientology is that Tom Cruise is a member. These kinds of people might not have the attention span/care enough to read up about it all or check out other documentries on Scientology.

What Louis did was, he made a more visual depiction of their barbaric methods of brainwashing, physical and mental abuse, imprisonment etc. So that you can REALLY picture it.

This film made a window for people who don't usualy take an interest in current affairs, documentries, and so on, so that they might look into Scientology more. Open those small minds.

And maybe a few current members too?

I don't think I'd heard of Louis Theroux before this and I enjoyed the film, so don't really know what your point is. There is nothing new about Scientology.

Naturally you wouldn't get my point because you obviously don't watch a lot of documentaries. If you did, you would know who Theroux is. I guess this film is good for muppets like you who don't know much about the world they live in. I personally need something with substance.

And yes, as with any cult, there are obviously some things we don't know about Scientology. Use your brain mate.
