Before the end credits roll there's text saying "Marty wasn't paid for his involvment in the movie". Why did they have to say that? wouldn't you pay someone you consulted? or was he supposed to get money but for some reasons after all they decided not to?
shareI think it was just because to inform the viewer he had no other reason for doing this aside from getting his truth out there. So he wasn't just trying to make a crazy story up so he could make money off of it. Didn't the people following him also question him about how much he was being paid? Trying to make others think they weren't bad, but Marty was because he was making up stuff about them to get money. But since Marty wasn't paid, there was really no reason for him to lie about what went on inside.
