He's a smart guy, so he he won't devote a second of thought to her other performances and will bring out whatever kind of performance drives the story and character he created.
shareI actually don't understand why anybody likes her performances under o'russels direction. I just love Tiffany and I think she's a really complicated character. A character doesn't need to be overdramatic to be great. Tiffany is hurt and sad and mad and angry and so complicated. It's a really good performance, as is her performance in winters bone and American hustle
shareJ Law is fantastic in everything, even is the Sub-par films she's involved with. SLP and American Hustle aren't just OK performances, they're spectacular. Tiffany... I mean WOW. I know young women JUST LIKE HER. I think people miss the point of American Hustle so I won't bother other than to say she was a scene stealing machine. She gets hate for all the wrong reasons. Being Young and Successful breeds envy and hatred. It's why Leo was the star in The Departed but the studio chose to ignore a nomination campaign... 10 years later, a Good but Lesser role lands him his long overdue Oscar. I think he was the best Actor in Django by far, also ignored. J Law seems to have similar hatred, although she's well on her way to plenty of awards. It's just foolish to me. She's getting better every year.

I'm guessing we are going to see a similar decent into insanity with J law like we did with Natalie Portman.
I am really excited because naturally I feel j law is a better actress and under this direction we could see something absolutely mind blowing!
