Uninvited Guests play psychological torture game (a theory on the plot)

There was a true story in the news back years ago about a couple who would invite other couples back into their home (they would pick the couples at bars/clubs). Once all four people were back home and hanging out for a few hours of drinking, the wife would hide her purse and the husband would get furious thinking the guests stole his wife's purse. The guests would freak out at being accuse of theft and would deny taking the purse but of course they were drinking so not sure. It would go on back and forth to the point of psychological torture and the guests even thought that maybe they stole the purse. In the end the guests locked themselves in the bathroom and would later on be killed, all because of the couple playing the sadistic game of hiding a purse.

I can see Aronofsky taking this idea of psychological torture and turning it into another level. This is just a theory I have on the plot since Aronofsky is known for psychological torture effects like Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan.

Obviously the story would be opposite and the uninvited guests would be the ones that accuse the couple of a stolen item or doing something horrendous unbeknownst to the couple played by (Jennifer Lawrence and Domhall). All four would be playing a psychological mental torture game which would lead to confusion among the couple and even the audience.

Whatever the plot turns out to be, Aronofsky will turn this simple plot into something psychological it is his known trademark. I just cant see it being comical or even somewhat dramatic it has to be a psychological thriller.

Sounds interesting , great if the plot was something like that , i certainly can see Michelle playing that type of character as she has played bad before as Catwoman and in White Oleander.
