You're both right, but then I remembered it was supposedly hand-carved by a coal miner who probably wasn't a skilled craftsman. It may have been more realistic than we know, LOL.

The angel reminded me of a ship's figurehead. It's lavender eyes were a bit scary. But it's novel having a wooden angel in a Christmas movie for a change.
