and Justice League is out of its league.

It's staggering, really, to think that Ant-Man and the Wasp, a sequel no less, earned nearly the same as Justice League. Cliche though it may be to say, one would have been subject to utter ridicule had he predicted such an outcome in the pre-MCU era. Even imagining that Ant-Man would have his own feature film would have been ludicrous, and claiming it would earn a sequel even more so, and THEN claiming the sequel would earn on par with a Justice League film. Off to the loony bin with ye!

Let that really sink in-- a film with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, and the entire Justice League, filmed on a $300 million budget, lost money at the box office, and was barely able to eke out $40 million more than the sequel to a film about Ant-Man. Why, you'd almost think Marvel could put a talking squirrel and a sentient tree into a film and straight up out-earn Justice League.
