Superman is overdue for a solo Animated movie

Last one he had was Unbound, the same year as his last Live Action film. For a period we had an animated film with Superman in the title yearly. Unbound happens to be the one I think was the best, so it really frustrates me that that they stopped right then.

If it takes him just as long to get a solo Animated movie as it is to get his next Live Action solo film, that's be really sad. But wouldn't bother me as much if DC actually given some time to lesser known characters. Instead they now can't go two months without dropping another Batman animated film.

It used to be DC dropped an Animated film to correspond with whatever their LA film was that year. Sub-Zero same year as Batman and Robin, Brainiac Attacks same year as _______. Emerald Knights same year as the Green Lantern movie. Tales of the Black Freighter was given to tie into Watchmen. And a Jonah Hex short same year as that Jonah Hex movie. There being a corresponding Batman film isn't a big deal though since he gets at least one every year anyway.

This year the biggest DC movie had both Batman and Superman in the name. Did they get a third Animated team up? Nope. Instead Batman gets 4 Animated films with his name in the title (not even counting whatever Lego madness is going on), plus Batman characters being the main spotlight in this film. While Superman gets only his supporting role in this, which was totally forgettable.

You know it may well take only a decade for Batman to appear in as many Animated movies as James Bond got Live Action movies in 50 years.

It's a shame because Superman pretty much created modern Action/Adventure animation in the 40s. But not DC doesn't have enough faith him him to trust him with out of 5 yearly animated features.

Maybe if the Adam West and Burt Ward cartoon starts a trend, we'll get a Lynda Carter WW cartoon to accompany the LA movie next year. But in terms of retro Superman actors, the big two are no longer with us, the main option left is Dean Cain, or Helen Slater to return to Supergirl.

Please no😞 DC is more than just Bats and Supes and I'm so tired of them getting the animated treatment. I would rather see Shazzam, Booster Gold or the Doom Patrol get a film.

I've been a die-hard Batman fan for decades, and even I think they're flogging him to death. Don't get me wrong, my love for the character is undiminished, but the shoehorning approach does annoy me. I'd love to see Superman get some more solo animation. I guess from DCs perspective at the current time Batman makes more money than Superman film-wise. Of course, it could be argued that unless they actually make some more Superman solos that will always be the case!
