... from an anime called "Daiguard".

The bureaucrats and corporate heads were often running about trying to figure out how to pay for the damages and expenses of running the giant robot fighting off the Heterodyne creatures that kept showing up.

It was an amusing series, and in the end there was no 'big bad, world-ending' plot behind it all, which was a novelty!
