Real killer ever found?

Found the documentary very captivating but as an avid ID channel watcher, I would like to have known if the killers DNA was entered into CODIS and a match was found? Can't seem to find anything on that.

reply

probably not since the police got fixated no the wrong person,
wonder how many thousands of innocent people are in jail in the USA?
BAD cops and prosecutors seem like a dime a dozen!
If you don't get a lead on the killer in 48 hours hard to find them usually
if he is not in the dtb then how can they match him?

reply

This is true. But usually violent offenders such as this rapist and murderer don't strike just once. I figured that some time over the past 30+ years he could of been caught for another crime and his DNA would be on record. Then again he could very well be dead at this point also

reply

Did you even watch the documentary?

reply

That is my favorite channel. I watched mostly everything on that channel. I'm pretty confident I could get away with murder from all the crime shows I watch. Rule # 1- ALWAYS leave your cellphone at home.

reply

Haha, true. Rule #2 - burn your clothes. Why a killer would hold on to bloody clothes and shoes is beyond me. Guess it good they do for the rest of us, but... c'mon.

The reality is you're only going to get away with it if the cops are incompetent or overwhelmed with other crimes to investigate. There's always something some evidence left behind to incriminate you and it's usually going to be the random, trivial detail that no one would ever dream of -- like an innocuous street camera or ATM capturing your car/face in the vicinity at the time of the crime. Who's going to think of that?

reply

I totally agree. Like I said I have watched crime shows for over ten years. My dvr is always filled with shows from the ID and just when I'm sure I know all the tools, test, tricks of the trade the investigators will do something that I didn't know was possible and never seen them do on any other case.
I was kidding (mostly) about that comment. I would be a dream suspect for a investigator because I'm a horrible liar.

Not yet, I was filmed in a documentary in 2004 titled "After Innocence" where I fought to get the DNA results used to find the killer, but thus far, no matches.
I ask yearly for an update so I can have peace as well as the victim's family.

reply

I watched After Innocence! I didn't match your name to this documentary until close to the end of the film. I follow everything that deals with the Innocence Project. I've watched many documentaries with similar gut wrenching stories, but Fearing The 13 is just undescribably amazing because you tell it so well. I'm looking forward to anything you have to say or tell. Amazing storytelling! Infuriating ordeals.

reply

Thanks for responding. Excellent documentary, and it's really heartening to hear you're doing well.
