I feel like I missed something, but... regarding the part that he tells about calling his father from the holding cell, where he was kept after he escaped - why did he tell his father where he was and encourage him to call the FBI?

shareI watched this documentary so attentively that I felt a rollercoaster of emotions as I listened to every single word that was said throughout the film. The seconds right before and during the phone call to his father, I am assuming were full of emotions ranging from tiredness, physical pain, frustration, anger, exhaustion and helplessness.
shareMost likely a life on the run, full of lies and having no attachement to anything or anyone didn't appeal. It makes you appreciate how I'm the span of 30 yrs how technology has completely changed law enforcement.
