The linked news stories to this series do tell of how Class's director is going to work for 'Supergirl' and 'Gotham'. So, that doesn't inspire hope of further seasons.

Well if its solely a director that isn't much. There was only 8 episodes and 4 directors on series 1. Directors will often work on different shows as they usually only do a couple episodes a season.
I do really hope we get a series 2. The cliffhangers between April, "The Arrival", and the Weeping Angels connection to the Governors is too much to leave hanging. Hopefully if not we at least get more books to finish the story, though won't be the same.
I'm wondering if they will wait and see how it does on BBC America ratings wise for it will get another series.
They can do a season 2 (which I'd really like to see) or they could wrap it up on Doctor Who. The Doctor has a a great interest in stopping the Weeping Angels.
I'm telling you, it the Lando!
Yeah, but they have to remember to do it.
Don't know if you watched the Sarah Jane Adventures but they had a story line where Clyde Langer is befriended by a homeless girl when he's separated from his friends and family.
They have her disappear ostensibly by the 'night dragon' which might be a moving company or ominously something else. They're evidently responsible for a lot of the homeless people disappearing.
It was a really good story line one of the best mysteries they'd done on the show and unfortunately it just died with the show and Elisabeth Sladen.
They could have picked it up with Doctor Who and given the TSJA cast a proper send off.
It really chapped my àss that they didn't.

Yeah, I want more episodes now, no waiting for a second series!

I really hope we get a second season. I like the characters
If sadly not, I hope we get a conclusion in Doctor Who. They can't leave it like that
