Question about the film

I was curious is this movie at all considered American Gothic horror. I really enjoyed the film and I was having a hard time determining what style of horror film this was. I'm not 100% sure if my definition of gothic horror films is correct, but this film was unique had me thinking. Iv appreciate any feed back
