Lot of crap to go through just to ask a simple question, BUT what was the point/purpose of the minister coming to the house that night? He had a tire iron in his hand, he looked up at the window. The view changed to the interior, then he went back to his car and left. Again, what were his intentions, what did he do?
shareI thought he was coming to kill the grandma. She admitted to him that she was planning on killing Owen, Pearl and Isabel. She also admitted, that she had started the fire that killed Owen's parents and that it was meant to kill Owen & Pearl at the time as well (you may have seen/heard that entire part but just in case you missed it). When he pulls up to the house the light in the top left bedroom is off. Once he walks up to the house, pulls out the tire iron and glances up, the light in the bedroom is on. So, he knew the grandma was awake and bat sh!t crazy, so he left to save himself.
