Not done yet with the final 8 episodes, but can someone make sense...

I'm on S04E12 so far, but can someone make sense of two things for me?

1. How are the Byrdes not afraid of someone telling Navarro, "Hey, Marty said you ordered the hit on Javi." I mean, they got his sister visiting him in the hospital. Seems like all these main players are written to conveniently stay quiet for the sake of plot?

2. What is so bad with letting your children go home with their grandpa? There is more tangled web cause Wendy won't let her kids go. Everything seems so contrived. Or, did I miss something? Is he a crazy Grandpa? Violent, child molester? What did I miss?

Totally right. As I've said elsewhere, GoT Season 8 all over again. Characters doing things that make absolutely no sense for them based on seasons of character development. Charlotte and Jonah leaving to stay with a grandfather they know nothing about him but surely must have heard stories about from their mother? And when Jonah is working with Ruth and basically being his own boss with this own life? Charlotte has already become an integral part of the business helping run the casino etc. Yeah... I don't think so.

1.Navarro explicitly instructs the Byrdes to say that he(Navarro) ordered the hit so as to not look weak to the cartel
2.Wendy mentions to Marty that she was (atleast once) beaten as a child that she couldn't walk for days

reply

1- Navarro himself instructed Marty to say so so as to assert his power
2- He was a domestic abuser
