I came here to say the same. I can't stand it.

I see the commercials for it on The Discovery Channels and it comes on IFC. So why should I have to change the channel? It's just a matter of time before it's cancelled anyway.

reply

Then please try.... WATCHING IT, at least, before you spill your preconceived prejudices out on this forum. I honestly can't get enough of this show, so much so that I literally am now watching the repeats on Demand! It's just brilliant- but I recommend you start with one of the later episodes where it really starts getting funny and "raw"; the first three or so are probably the worst and least funny, if anything.

My only question is, What took them so long?

Wow. You are all just a bunch of biased haters that are afraid of your own (weak) masculinity simply because you don't like the idea of a man dressing up as a woman and making a conceivable character out of it. I think the main actor was PERFECT as a silly old Jewish lady living in Boca Raton. Totally believable and hilarious.

I doubt anyone on these boards even watched ONE episode.

You are apparently clueless. I did watch it, but it just wasn't funny. It has nothing to do with a man's dressing up like a woman.

I think this professional reviewer sums it up accurately:

The edgy series, which is filmed as a mock documentary, relies on lots of irreverent humor to tell Gigi’s story. However, it quickly gets bogged down by endless cheap laughs and obvious stereotypes, which makes it more tiresome than funny as time goes on.

David Krumholtz's performance as an elderly woman is excellent, and there are occasional scenes, especially when Gigi interacts with non-actors, that will elicit the occasional chuckle. It's a series with a lot of potential, but due to a lack of story or consistent writing, it really doesn't have much to offer.

No. I am not afraid of my masculinity, being that I am a girl.

Typical myopic millennial girl. If you don't like something, don't watch it. I never got people like you. You wasted energy to come onto a board of a show you don't like - why? You and the people like you in this thread obviously don't like dry humour - learn to move on, and let those of us who do enjoy it, do so. *beep* people I swear.

reply

I didn't watch it. And the only reason I came here was because I was so *beep* tired of seeing the commercials for this retarded *beep*

Dry humor???? This mindless tripe is literally THE EXACT opposite if dry humor.
