Can't wait to see this!!!!

I've been a vaper for 4 years now and it has been awesome. I no longer smell like cigarettes and I'm also no longer out of breath after walking up a flight of stairs. I was a cigarette smoker for almost 20 years. Vaping has definitely changed my health for the better.

From one of our committee Directors who saw this film in Warsaw at the GFN ( General Forum on Nicotine )

The film was brilliant. A MUST for medical professionals; The film, if they saw it, would shake them to the core - it tells them things that they are oblivious to. I can just see A Billion Lives being used as the introduction of a seminar where we are trying to convince a dubious audience as to the benefits of vaping. It would undermine zealotry at a stroke...

Similar story here Bryan.
I smoked for 28 years then picked up a $6 EVOD clone from eBay, some (imported) e-juice and haven't looked back. It's barely two months, but it's a start. I've already noticed improvements.

This movie might just be the tipping-point.
In the meantime, check out this BBC Horizon episode regarding e-cigs if you haven't already.

Yep,4 years ago I started with a cigalike, then moved onto one of the e-go vape pens. Now I'm using a box mod and love it! I will never go back to cigarettes again!!! Hopefully this movie will knock some sense into the FDA. Unfortunately it's not being released in America until the end of August or early September and the FDA's deeming regulations take place August 8th.

Yeah, I've read a little on the deeming regs in recent weeks. Curious how it's treating "open" and "closed" systems in such different ways. There seems to be no attempt to hide their favoritism towards closed system proponents.
I'm led to believe tobacco companies are among them.

In Australia, it's virtually the opposite.
There's a weird Victorian-era Puritanism enshrouding the whole issue. Cigalikes are being demonised (think of the children!) and survey data is being selectively presented to discredit their role in smoking cessation.
Many enthusiasts accept the shortcomings of cigalikes, so the argument suddenly holds weight.

IMO, cigalikes have their place and advantages. They're not all closed systems with disposable cartomisers. We have an 808D setup with refillable tank and serviceable coil for example (Alchemy Z5).

Just as you (and I, with a Blu) were introduced to this alternative in an economical way, it should remain for others to judge. As should the mods & DIY stuff.
