Messi greets his kid but not him?

Didn't anyone find strange that as they were waiting for the ballon d'or ceremony messi goes and greets cristiano's kid but doesn't greet him (ronaldo)? I mean, was that piece taken out on purpose? 'Cause I don't believe messi would do that...
