MESSI OR RONALDO

One dribbles past players, plays for the team, the other goalhangs waiting for tap ins and plays for himself (throws a fit even when his own teammate scores).

Football (soccer) fans know Messi is much better, fashion fans and girls who fancy him think Ronaldo is better.

Messi overall is a better player. I'm saying this as a hardcore Real Madrid fan. Messi's key passes,lightning assists, aerial through balls, intense tight space dribbling and high conversion strike rate makes him a better player than Ronaldo. There is no harm in accepting the truth.

Well, I like them both. I used to find Ronaldo more "interesting", even though he always was too self absorbed, to say the least.

I mean we are talking about the guy who not long ago ordered a wax statue of himself for his mansion. He also sends his own hairstylist to brush his wax figure in the Museo de Cera, Madrid, once a month!!!
Sorry but that sound more like Liberace than any footballer I would like to idolize.

Any way you look at it, there is no doubt that Messi has more talent than Ronaldo, and is overall a better player. If a person cant see that by watching them play games, they should immediately switch to ice skating or curling.
Messi takes on 3-4-5 players, Ronaldo couldnt dribble past a newspaper lying on the ground (and he is getting worse at it every season).

He is actually one of the few players in La Liga (or should I say the only big name) who has more failed than successful attempts at dribling. Its not much better in CL.

There is a huge difference between best goal poacher and the best player.
Ronaldo has amazing ability to "always" be in the right place at the right time, and he`s better at it than anyone else.

But, he needs to take 30-40% more shots than Messi to achieve same number of goals (there are games where he shoots countless times, from basically every position without scoring, while completely ignoring his teammates) and needs around 50 free kicks before he scores one.
He also attempts way more shots on goal than Messi, and has a much lesser shooting accuracy.
Take away hundreds of easy tap-ins (literally) and penalties and you end up with egoistic player who always sets himself ahead of the team. And goes nuts when teammates shoot instead of giving him the ball.

No matter how you look at it, whether its all time stats or Champions League stats, Messi comes out better. Couple of goals and assists fewer, but 18 games less played, around 200(!) shots less than Ronaldo, two years younger, much more clinical finisher.
And most important of all, Messi can control and totally dominate games from start to finish without necessarily ending up with a goal or two (games against Man City in Cl are good examples). Ronaldo hasnt control a game in similar fashion since his United days, if that.
To perform he needs his team to play well. If not, than he is nowhere to be seen, as in the last CL game vs PSG...

i am an real madrid and a man u fan all the way and cr7 is one my favourite players along side with maldini..ziddan..ronaldo..etc.

messi is best a pure talent and hard to beat and he is better than ronaldo but you got to give him that ronaldo(with hard work and training ) was able to compete with messi and beat him some times and that something cannot be denied and that count for something

and we all agree that ronaldo's skills and performance recently isnt good decpite his rating of goals that to another player could be a great thing

and i think that without ronaldo no one could compete with messi at least not as same as ronaldo and his effect in messi's performance that is positively motivational and the same goes to ronaldo (without messi )

and so my point is that enjoy them as long as you could because i dont think there will be players of thier kind or their rivalry or maybe in the future a player will come that he makes us forgot about them you never know :)
