I think Robert Duvall would be great.

That's a very good suggestion, sir :)
I was at a loss for finding any suitable actors myself.

Duvall is almost perfect for this.
But I still want to give a suggestion myself. What about Burt Reynolds?

I think the first lady should be Jane Fonda, no matter who they cast as the president.

They casted tim matheson and cynthia nixon, i don't know much about them but ill wait and see. You know I could see burt reynolds playing the VP Hw Bush

I hope you people are just fantasizing or joking about Robert Duvall, Jane Fonda and Burt Reynolds. Duval is 85, Fonda is 78 and Reynolds is 80. Fonda was really good in her Netflix series, but the men...way, way, way past it.

To the OP....Tim Matheson was a very good choice. Not only did he capture the look and sound of the man, he is the right age. Matheson is 69 years old....same age Reagan was when he was running for office. Robert Duval is way too old to play him as he was in the early '80's....same goes for Jane Fonda playing Nancy in that era. Now....if they wanted to make a film about the Reagan's post-presidential year, then Duval and Fonda would be good choices.

Bruce Campbell was terrific as Reagan in second season of the Fargo series. He looks more like Reagan, too, in my opinion.

I didn't dislike Matheson in the role, though.
