Did not expect it to be exactly from the books, but seems to be including from them as inspiration.

Season one started like The Sum of All Fears and the bio-terror from Executive Orders.

Season two looks like Clear and Present Danger and Without Remorse.

Is Matice John Clark?

Apparently Matice is as close as they can come to John Clark

Because of all the side media and video games, Clark is harder to get the rights to than Ryan

So Amazon didn’t bother
