plot is very forced and the lead is not a good actor

IE one eyed assasin S2 snipes the businessman in the head sitting in a pub from a house across the road. what does he do - hmmm, I'll just walk right out of the front door so I can get chased. great escape route idiot.
IE2 trained almost marine disobeys orders and leaves his boat to go look for his mates in the jungle. they come by, miss him, and take off without him,

Also the Jack Ryan character is very stiff and seems to force his acting. I always realize I am watching a show and he is acting. I never get lost in the show. And when he doesn't get his way he becomes pissy and petulant. It's his dialogue I know, but comes across as childish.

And yet I watch :)

It's free, I watched too. It sucked. The guy always looks like he is so sad and about to break into tears. Awful, not to mention how they dump on the black dude, Bunk from The Wire. This is a terrible show.

I couldn't keep watching after season 1: the guy isn't a good actor, I don't buy him in an action role even for a second - even if Krasinski himself obviously wanted to make a departure from his usual comedic fare, there wasn't a single scene where he actually looked believable to me.

The plot itself didn't grab me, the first few seasons of "24" were far superior - for all those reasons, I just couldn't bring myself to watch season 2.

I just can't believe that despite all this the show is still getting decent reviews.

It's free on Amazon, but you are right - it is terrible.
Kazinsky always looks like he is about to break into tears and cry.
The scenes they have between him and the African-American guy
are borderline racist. The black guy lies, and cannot do anything
right. The plot doesn't make sense, it is just stupid. I wish
Amazon would dump it.

Krasinski looks like Screech from Saved By The Bell for crying out loud, just without the white boy afro. Must have been a humorous casting meeting, when they all decided THIS was a good cast for an action role.
