...it was all due to intense and recurring hypnosis and not brain surgery. I think they should have made them (secretly) racist and just longing for a time when white people could be served by blacks. To me that would have been even scarier. But because Peele is black he didn't want to do that and wanted it to be that whites envied blacks. I just don't find that as realistic.
shareI agree. I thought the ending was a confused mix of the hypnosis angle and the brain surgery angle and it just didn't really mesh well together. It was obvious from the start that these people obviously looked at life through race, even when they were being nice. It would have made more sense if they just showed their true colors and said "we still want to hold power over you, even when we're patting you on the back"
