I think it's to imply they're brought to the house like Chris, but they're abdicated in different ways. Sometimes Rose lures them outside the house so Jeremy can put on his gear, other times she blatantly leaves her closet door open so her boyfriend/girlfriends can find the photos and fuck with them. I think it depends on how close they are to figuring what's going on. If they're like Chris, everyone gathers around him and makes sure he can't get out. If it's like Andre, Rose and Jeremy are allowed to have some fun with no worry to him figuring out the plan.

It was later said that the brother's m.o. of finding victims was a whole lot different from Rose's (can't remember the exact wording). At that point it gets clear that the abductor in the opening scene was the brother.

Plus, the black guy is Andre Hayworth/Logan.
