Summer Camp for city boys?

I didn't mind this film. Although it was slow moving and I found myself frequently watching how many minutes were left, it was a slow burn that led to a satisfying conclusion. Pappy used to be a border patrol guard between Ukraine/Poland and brings his two sons to the border station for some toughening up ..? And also to find his own resolution after taking time off the job, after his wife died.

I really like the actor Bartosz Bielenia, who plays Janek. Quite a good actor ... and a real beauty to look at. Hope to see more from this actor, in particular. He is likely one to watch in the next few years.

The dialogue was excellent since they leave everything in subtext. Nothing on the nose. You understand the complexity of the love and disappointment in the father - son relationships from everything underneath of what is said. That's really good writing and film-making, in my view. Cinematography is very nice.
