Gawd Leonard was annoying as heck

I was so glad when the Senator Dad began to whip his ass. I actually went "finally, that twit is getting what he deserves!". In a lot of ways that basement scene was probably the only GOOD part of the film because Leonard shut up for the most part and was getting some just deserts back to him.

Then he has to ruin a dark comic scene by yet another Leonard witty improv line "I just want to say... I've wanted to suck on your wife's toe... blah blah".

I'm not sure if we were supposed to be sympathetic of Leonard because he was an addict who definitely had a mental illness. But it was played up for laughs (even though his jokes weren't funny or witty) and he hardly ever did anything endearing for the audience to like him.

He also resembled some unholy union by Richard E. Grant and Rik Mayhall. Heck, if Grant or Mayhall had played Leonard that might've made a better movie.
