the ending

Ashley escapes from the hospital and gets home just as Beth has shot John. Just then Michael arrives. In flasback, it is revealed that Ashley's father walked in on Beth and Micheal in bed together. He threatens to tell Ashley and begins to call her. Michael hits him on the head with the snow globe and then he ties Beth up to make it look like an intruder was in the home. Ashley's father starts to come to and Michael hits him with the snow globe. Beth tells Ashley the plan is to blame everything on an unstable Ashley. Beth then shoots Michael dead and is about to kill Ashley when John comes to and shoots her. Months later, it is revealed that Ashley has become CEO of her father's company.
