I agree the child was spoiled and not too bright!

I would assume this is supposed to take place in the years 2015-2016. Does this child not know that she should not be running off to Arizona with a dude she's talked to on the internet for two years, who is 23 years old, when she's only 16?

Like the other poster, I thought this child was extremely spoiled. Her mother bought her a brand new vehicle and then she appeared to have a manic episode where she went off on her whole family. I understand girls are very hormonal at that age, but she was simply ungrateful. I thought her stepfather seemed very down to earth and nice, but she wasn't very nice to him at all.

It's hard to feel for the main character, when you don't really care for her behavior. You'd think she'd have a little more common sense. Who knows?
