I love this show and Adam, but I was really disappointed with this ...

I have seen most episodes (not in order), and tonight I watched "Adam ruins Immigration" .. I realize Adam is a little liberal and I admit I a little conservative. But in this episode he gave to much of his opinion and not enough facts. I have specific examples. But before we get into that, just know that I enjoy watching his show even when i have a different way of thinking, so long as he uses facts, not opinions. Normally Adam does this well, but today he fell short.

I'm not a historian, but I know President Polk didn't declare war on Mexico to seize land as Adam states. He did this legally with the approval on congress. I won't get in to the details, I'll leave that for you IMDB'ers to read on your own. Anyway I am not saying this war was right, morally war usually isn't (IMO). I am saying it was legal and Adam gives his opinion as to why it happened.

Adam later states that the US deported 1 million people for simply having brown skin around 1930-1940. It was actually 1.5 million (not an important mistake). However, the reason is really important, and was for the sake of American jobs actually. Many of the coal miners jobs were being taken by illegal immigrants. Again,I am not saying it's right, but it's what happened. That's the real facts. Also he doesn't mention that in 1973 we relaxed immigration laws for Mexican workers again and it caused very controversial effects we are still seeing today. I'm not saying it was a good or bad thing, I am just saying it happened and it led to people disagreeing on how to handle the immigration situation we have now.

I can't say it enough, I am not saying "let's build the wall, Go Trump Go." I'm NOT saying this. However, I am saying that I think we have an immigration problem that Adam ignores. He blames the government for all the problems, and they are a huge part of the problem, but not the only problem. I hate to make this post about politics, my intent was to point out Adam's short coming of facts in the episode.

.. and I like Adam. I hope he doesn't make this mistake again.

This isn't the first time he's done this. He's also blatantly lied about video games trying to "push" women out and claimed that the modern divorce is a "good" thing by ranting about how things supposed were while ignoring everything about the actual problems with divorce (bias in woman's favour).

He's also cited studies after doing an episode there he debunked the very same thing and acted as a propagandist for Hillary Clinton.

Adam really just cherry picks data to suit his arguments and lies when reality doesn't go his way.

I don't care about a troll who doesn't pay for his opinion telling me how to review movies.

I've seen a few more episodes in the past few days. I think you are right, he seems to cherry pick his facts that support his belief. It's obvious Adam is a far left Liberal. I am not saying thats good or bad. Just that fact that the audience is aware of his political belief means he has skewed his show to fit his ideals. I don't mind listening to people that I don't agree with, so long as they are true to the facts, or at least explain both sides of the argument. I just don't like when people pretend to be the worlds foremost authority of a topic when they clearly have shown to align a certain direction politically. To me, Adam looses creditability for this reason.

I've noticed this as well, with this last season he seems to be "debunking" from a very far-Left playbook.

Adam needs to ruin Adam Ruins Everything.

My red flag is when he throws in the word "racist". When he ruined drugs, he said that the war on drugs was started as "racist legislature" to arrest blacks who were the ones smoking marijuana". But that statement suggests that many blacks were smoking marijuana, so that was racist of Adam to say!

I'm a hardcore, dye in the wool conservative, so I noticed Adam Conover's liberal leanings right away in season one. Nonetheless, I enjoy the ARE television show because he brings up many interesting data you don't hear anywhere else in TV and would only otherwise get from researching yourself and/or taking college class. Adam Ruins Everything is head and shoulders better above many other TV shows, including many on TruTV.

What Adam should do is assess whether he can be objective about a topic, then if can, then do a show on it. Immigration, certainly not; he's a lying loony toon liberal.

Except for the immigration episode, I wish his other episodes got more wider of an audience because the general public is so ignorant about so many understandings about life.
